We get a lot of fan mail for Street Survival that most folks never get to see. We’ll be publishing some of these letters, so that everyone- our hard-working facilitators, our coaches, our cone-shaggers, our corporate sponsors, our donors and everyone else who make this program happen- can see them and feel great about what we’re all accomplishing together.
Dear Street Survival crew,
My husband and I had the pleasure of attending the Tire Rack Street Survival class today with our 16-year-old daughter.
We have been looking for something like this for a while and were thrilled when Kelly BMW sent us an email informing us that the class was happening in the Columbus area. Also, the price point was very affordable and much appreciated as we are all facing a lot of college tuition these days with our older siblings too.
We were happy to be able to be a part of the entire day…by attending the classroom sessions and being able to watch all of the outdoor driving exercises. Our daughter had such a wonderful experience! On a scale of 1 to 10, we’d easily rate this as a 20+++! We were blown away!
I believe that all teenagers that have to wake up at 6 AM on a Sunday to attend anything are a bit skeptical as they first enter the class. But that was quickly dispelled as soon as she saw how much relevant, hands-on training she would experience.
I wish I knew all of the people’s names who were so wonderful and organized the entire day. They managed to make it such a good combination of “scared straight” material with humor and interactive presentations, including “blowing up the airbag” and seeing the very sobering “don’t text and drive” video. I wish this was a requirement for all teenagers in the country to experience…before they even get their drivers license.
Our daughter’s personal driving instructor was also outstanding. I think her confidence increased about 310% just by being with him in the vehicle!
We really appreciate all of the time and effort that you and the entire Tire Rack Street Survival team have put into creating such a meaningful, life-changing, life-saving program for our children.
Especially as our daughter enters her first real winter of driving solo, it is so reassuring to know if she has these skills to help her along the way.
God Bless you and your team for giving our daughter- and all of these teens and families- this tremendously worthwhile gift. It will pay dividends for their entire life time.
Best regards,
Patrick and Jennifer M
