The BMW CCA Foundation is celebrating this year’s “Giving Tuesday” on November 28th, in conjunction with charities around the world. Their motto, “Everyone has something to give, and everyone has something to share,” resonates with the Foundation as our giving pledge.
The Foundation depends upon its generous donors to run its operations. Your thoughtfulness and generosity make it possible for us to give back to the communities we serve.
Your gift supports the three branches of our Foundation umbrella: The Ultimate Driving Museum, Street Survival, and our Archives. By teaching teens how to drive safely in our Street Survival program, and by offering iconic BMW exhibits in The Ultimate Driving Museum, we embody the Foundation’s mission of “Saving Lives, Saving History.”
Street Survival
In Street Survival, your donation underwrites the true cost of training our teens to become safer drivers. Your gift enables us to provide the needed instructional materials, cones, and pavement to conduct these schools across the country.
In the past 20 years, we have trained 30,000 teens to become safer drivers. Both teens and parents alike share stories of accident avoidance due to the excellent training and new confidence instilled in our younger drivers. Better-trained teens mean safer roads for all of us.
The Ultimate Driving Museum
Your generous donation also supports our exhibits in The Ultimate Driving Museum. We bring our “Archives to life” by creating special exhibits which share BMW history with our enthusiasts and the museum public.
For those who were able to visit our latest exhibit, “The Power of M: Celebrating 50 Years,” you witnessed the energy and excitement of sharing these iconic racecars and street cars which told the story of BMW Motorsport M. Through their innovations and technology, M has brought these new technologies to the car consumer, along with the M excitement of driving this performance brand.
The New M Plaza, powered by the M Platz Society
This year we are offering a special Giving Tuesday opportunity for your donation—our new M Platz Society. Due to the generosity of our trustee Dr. Leo Newland, we now have an outdoor space worthy of The Ultimate Driving Museum.
The “platz”, German for plaza, is a 1,200 square foot level gathering space located right in front of the Foundation. It is made of brick pavers ready for personalization. You can purchase a brick and have it customized with your name, car name, and/or a milestone date in your life.
This tribute brick may be in loving memory of someone dear to you, or in honor of someone dear in your life. It will nestle in the platz as a permanent reminder of the 50th Anniversary of BMW M Motorsport of 2022.
For the BMW enthusiast who has everyone, their brick is an everlasting gift which needs no return slip! This is a great holiday gift!
An example might read. “1998 E46 M3 John Smith,” or “In Loving Memory of Granddad Ernie Jones.”
Red Carpet Bricks
We are also offering a limited-edition special “red-carpet” brick to the first 38 purchasers. Our Red-Carpet bricks are located on the pathway leading to the platz and get maximum visibility from everyone who enters the platz.
Donors are also free to make a one-time donation to support the platz, or the Foundation in general, without purchasing a brick.
Ways to support the M Platz Society
– $300 Customized Brick (your name or dedication)
– $500 “Red Carpet” Brick (on the main pathway)
– $500 Adirondack chairs
– $1500 Picnic Table
– Variety of trees, plants and flowers (selection available soon)
